Fatina

Can you see that beautiful pair of eyes? They are the witness of all of the experience that she has gone through in her life. Born on the 9th day of September, she grows up primarily in KL / Selangor region. While her friends tend to describe her as someone that is enjoyable to be with, she considers herself to be careful in choosing who she would spend her time with. In her university years, she got herself involved in various live performance activities and subsequently ran a production house in the early days of her career. Her eloquence in speech and writing can be attributed to her broad exposure in English during her early days and the English Language major for her bachelor’s degree in Universiti Islam Antarabangsa (UIA).

Those who are close to her can tell, she talks about her family a lot. In fact, in one of our earliest conversations, she asked me about “family tradition” and subsequently shared her Raya and birthday experience with her family. She cherishes every moment she has with her siblings. When she was still studying, she would work part-time and use the extra cash gained to take her younger brothers and sisters out for family outings. While she is known as one of the fiercest sisters among them all, she cares about her siblings, especially the younger ones. Who yells the loudest among them all? Tina. Who should they seek help from if they want to buy ice cream when the seller is far away? Tina can help to “call” the ice-cream seller.

Perhaps, “go-getter” can be the best phrase to describe her attitude at work. She rarely complains about her workload. Instead, she will find the best way to produce an excellent piece of work, which subsequently earns her praises from many of her immediate superiors, past and present. Like many jobs out there, sometimes excessive workload can be quite a challenge for her. Nevertheless, she likes to take it as a challenge and a medium for her to get more barakah from work.

The word “regret” is virtually non-existent in her life dictionary. An energetic lady with a strong personality, she rarely doubts the decisions that she has made. As we begin to get to know each other, I was drawn to her unique approach in being sincere towards others as well as her opinion on what an ideal spouse should be like. Our partner is the reflection of us, or as she affectionately said, “Jodoh itu cerminan diri”. Did she invent the phrase on her own? No. She got it from someone else, whom she quoted the moment she said it. At that moment, I told myself, this is probably “the one” for me. More than a year later, I still can tell myself, this is one of the best decisions that I have made in life. And I am looking forward to telling these words again to myself every time I reminisce this moment.
